Sally D. Bliss, PhD, MA, BSN

Dr. Sally Bliss is a licensed clinical psychologist offering therapy primarily to adults and couples. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. The Dr. completed her formal education in the San Francisco Bay Area. Subsequently, she established and maintained a private practice in clinical psychology on the Big Island of Hawaii for nearly 20 years. Later, she worked as a clinician for the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team, Community Research Foundation, in San Diego CA supporting the San Diego Police Department by completing emergency psychiatric assessments and dispositions under field conditions.

Dr. Bliss emphasizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as the basis for her practice. She also incorporates Dialectical-Behavioral, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic technique. Dr. Bliss has worked extensively in medical settings and, as such, brings a valuable understanding of the impact of chronic illness, adjustment to aging processes, and medical issues.
