Courtney Craig Junkins, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Junkins predominantly uses a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy and provides evidence-based intervention services. She has specialty training in pediatric psychology and has particular expertise in working with children who have comorbid medical diagnoses. Dr. Junkins also has specialized training in hypnotherapy and biofeedback interventions.
Dr. Junkins earned a B.A. in Psychology at Mercer University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited) at Nova Southeastern University. She completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah specializing in pediatric psychology and pediatric neuropsychology. Dr. Junkins completed her APA-accredited post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Health – Children’s Medical Center Dallas in clinical child psychology and pediatric health psychology.
In addition to working part-time in private practice at Eastside Psychological Associates, Dr. Junkins is a research clinical psychologist within the Palliative Care and Resilience Research Program at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.
