Heather Spence Psy.D. LMHCA

Dr. Heather Spence earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle and holds a masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington. She completed her APPIC approved pre-doctoral internship at Cleveland State University’s Counseling Center, serving young adults struggling with identify development, life transition, learning disorders, interpersonal trauma, anxiety and depression, and Axis II presentations. Dr. Spence has also completed training with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties in a therapeutic day school and in community mental health.

Dr. Spence uses an integrative and collaborative approach to psychotherapy and believes strongly in tailoring therapy to an individual’s unique needs. Her therapy is informed by a relational orientation with the integration of evidenced-based strategies, including solution-focused, feminist, and mindfulness approaches.

Dr. Spence provides services to children 6 and older, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of clinical concerns, including:

  • Developmental issues/identity development
  • Interpersonal difficulties and relationship issues

  • Anxiety-related disorders
