Susan Toth Patiejunas, Ph.D.

Susan Toth Patiejunas, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical Psychologist who has specialized in the diagnostic evaluation of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities for the past 15 years. She received her doctorate from the University of Washington and subsequently completed three years of postdoctoral training in the psychological and neuropsychological evaluation of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Dr. Toth Patiejunas works with a wide range of children from preschool to adolescence who present with concerns about attention and executive functioning problems (e.g., ADHD), developmental delays, learning problems (e.g., Dyslexia/reading disorders; specific learning disorders), social differences (e.g., autism spectrum disorders), emotion and behavior regulation problems, and neurodevelopmental deficits associated with prenatal alcohol and drug exposure (e.g., Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders). She also provides assessments for entrance into highly capable programs or early entrance into kindergarten. She has experience in working directly with public schools (as a previous School Psychologist) in Washington and is versed in law pertaining to special education eligibility criteria. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Toth Patiejunas works at the University of Washington Medical Center, Center on Human Development and Disability where she is an attending psychologist in the Child Development Clinic and supervises psychology postdoctoral fellows. Dr. Toth Patiejunas does not provide therapy or intervention services.

  • Identification of emotional and behavioral dysfunction
  • Identification of gifted children
  • Educational planning (e.g., special education eligibility, Section 504 Accommodation Plans, private tutoring)
